I have on order a pub table number VRC121-********. I have had extreme difficulty trying to track my order. The only information I can get is " in progress".I was told in an email the approximate date that it would be delivered. That was days ago. If I ever get my table, I will never order from Cymax again. Please email me when I can expect delivery of my table. You need to change your method of allowing customers to track their order. It is neither efficient or satisfying to your customers. Please help me by notifying me when my order will arrive. Barbara Mullis

SOLD ME A JUNK CABINET MADE FROM PAPER

This Cabinet was not aligned properly and caused many chips and pieces to break off. It was not square when it was finished do to the alignment problems. I had to use calk to hide the gaps and then paint them black. The material is only some kind of pressed paper and that is the cause of the chipping and sections breaking loose. I want my money refunded and handled asap. ALSO SENT FOLLOW UP: I GOT IT UP, BUT WITH OVER 1/4 TO 1/2 GAPS FILLED IN BY CAULK.  THEN I HAD TO PAINT OVER THE CAULK.  ONE PIECE ALSO HAD TO GLUED ON WITH CONSTRUCTION GLUE.  I FEEL I SHOULD AT LEAST HALF OF MY MONEY BACK FOR ALL THE JIMMY RIGGING!!!  IT IS UP TO YOU, BUT THIS IS NOTHING BUT JUNK AND WILL EVENTUALLY FALL APART BECAUSE OF ALL THAT DID NOT FIT PROPERLY. Please people before buying anything with cymax make sure you ask the right questions like the return policy what does it entails.imagine ordering something frm them they deliver the goods outside my door step without me being @ home so I decided I dnt want the good anymore it took them three weeks before they get bck to me .The worst of all I have to pay for shipping bck.please this is my advice I dont recommend this company to anybody their reception sucks.

Ordered tv stand from company through Amazon. Item was very poorly packaged, damaged and missing multiple components. I immediately contacted Cymax but received extremely unhelpful responses and poor attitudes over the phone. It's been over two weeks, Cymax blames it on the manufacturer but refuses to refund me for the item and has been very unhelpful. The product still lies on my floor taking space in my apartment. I wish I bought the product directly from Amazon or Wayfair, they have displayed a much higher level of integrity and professionals than cymax. This is how this expensive product was packaged.

Delivery Problems

Had a delivery scheduled today. Received call from delivery driver stating he could not deliver due to weather. It is raining but nothing more than that. No flooding or other inclement weather. Driver said he was near our house but could not deliver. Then received call from a blocked number stating she was with Cymax delivery and they could not deliver due to inclement weather. Was told they would try to get it delivered in the next 3 days. There is nothing shut down in Houston today, no closings with mail, FedX or other delivery carriers. I suggested to the dispatch lady who is in Dallas she should talk to someone other than myself or her driver. She respond, "Sure, I'll do that".

Cymax Stores Charge Review

Noticed a charge of $546 on my Amex from Cymax - I have tried calling and there is no means to talk to anybody. I have never contacted the online or otherwise. Amex was aware they do this and they have cancelled to charge. In my opinion this operation is an absolute scam.

I have ordered several book shleves; the last one is defective; also, received the two orders within 2 days of placing them although I was told they were back ordered 'til 5/21; I have received both orders however I received an email today saying my order was being shipped today (I have them and have been putting them together)! I called on Friday, 5/22 at 10 m CST and received a message saying that I had called after hours and they were closed but that that they were open M-F from 8 -6 CST. I called at 10 am CST on a friday!!! Not sure whether I will be receiving another shipment; What I am really pissed about is the last book shelf that I spent 2 hours putting together. It is defective but I could not have none until I tried to put the LAST piece in!!! Now I have a an erected book shelf without the ability to complete the installation of the final piece. What makes me so made is that I have spent another hour trying to send an email to these jerks with no success. Cant call nor email my complaint. I have another 1k of products I have ordered and paid for that I await and cant reach anyone on Friday 5/22 at 10am. I am pissed!!!

Didn't send purchased product

I recently purchased 2 Ashley furniture recliners. I received a confirmation and receipt. A week (7 days exactly) later I received an e-mail stating they were not going to ship the chairs and I would be given a refund ( they did 10 days later). I was thinking they were probably out of stock...they never gave a reason. So, i went back on line to find another recliner and in the process found that same exact recliner with the price jacked up. They figured they wouldn't send recliners I had already purchased and actually belonged to me because they were greedy. I feel that they stole the chairs that belonged me. That was the first and last I time I will do business with these people. They are dishonest and care nothing about customer service.

***These products are available on other websites, maybe consider that to avoid the trouble that I’ve had with Cymax, just copy and paste the product name into google you will get all other viable product suppliers*** NOTE: (Remember this is an assemble yourself couch in two square boxes that only weighs 190 Lbs) this is a shipping issue and I could only imagine what it would be like if the product arrives damaged. If it ever arrives. Let’s read on!!! What is going on CYMAX??? Do you just want to screw me??? GET IT TOGETHER!!!!! This has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had ordering online. Here is the story: So I place an order for a couch back on March 25, its on back order but it is scheduled to be back in stock April 3, and arrive today April 16. (I sold my other couch so the living room is bare, just bare, how am I supposed to have company, I’m living like a hermit) So the product comes back in stock early but I don’t receive a tracking number. So I figure I’ll give them a quick call see when it would be sent. Agent tells me that the couch will ship before April 3 and that I should have it in good standing before the estimated deliver day. (Things are looking good, maybe I won’t be on this chair in my living room to long) April 4 rolls around and I still don’t get a tracking number. So I figure I will call and ask what’s happening. Agent in shock tells me that he wasn’t aware that the shipment was going to Canada (Dude the website has listings in CDN Dollars) and that the shipping department in California has been notified. The couch will be shipped by the Monday April 6. Thursday, April 9 rolls up and no tracking information again. I figured I would give them a little bit of time to see if it would ship but I get nothing so it’s time to call again. Agent tells me (get this) that they normally ship with Fed Ex but that Fed Ex wouldn’t take the shipment so they just sat on it, doing nothing (WHAT???). however, they had made arrangements for another shipping company and it would be sent on Monday April 13. Tuesday April 14 at this point it’s feels like I need to babysit friggin Cymax as the incompetent employees can’t seem to manage their job of shipping what so ever (remember I never once yelled on the phone I just simply called with a calm voice asking questions, maybe I should have torn into them a little more, lol). So I give them a little buzz again. Agent – who was I? to be calling before the 48 hour notice period when I was told I would get a tracking number on Monday (woman its Tuesday that’s why I’m calling). She looks into it and apparently the second shipping company had to be transferred again and that it was scheduled with a third shipping company this time. She tells me that they aren’t used to shipping couches and that this never happens (GAWD DARN you are an online furniture store that doesn’t know how to ship furniture. - Remember this is an assemble yourself couch in two square boxes that only weighs 190 Lbs) Either way today was the day I was supposed to get the couch and I still don’t have a shipping number or any information about the shipment. Please remember this when looking to place an order with CYMAX. And I could only imagine what it would be like if the product arrives damaged. Also the product I order was available on other website for the same price and I would recommend considering other provides to avoid the experience that I’ve had. I’VE BEEN BILLED WHERE IS MY COUCH.

Bad product - return almost impossible.

Ordered a bird bath (through Amazon). Final assembled product has visible nuts and bolts that hold legs of the birds onto the body - very unattractive. Nuts and bolts not visible on pictures on website (some photo-adjustment made to hide them). Trying to return the item is almost impossible with continued delays and continued "return requirements" as soon as you are compliant with one requirement there's another one even going so far as to asking that I re-assemble the product and take pictures of the nuts and bolts and send them in - do they really not know what their assembled product looks like?

Ordered a bakers rack in December which was damaged upon delivery. I took pictures to document damage as requested before they would send a replacement.

Their website doesn't work so you have to wait to be able to speak with a customer service representative. I had to call Cymax days later to find out what would be done and was informed the manufactor agreed within 1 day of my complaint to replace the item. Cymax did not inform me of that and I wonder how long I would have waited before I found a replacement would be shipped. Only after that dicussion was a replacement ordered and shipped by Cymax.

The replacement came also damaged. Requested refund and they won't refund until items are donated to charity in their name at full cost of item and in their name.

Cymax shouldn't expect to get full value of item for a tax deduction when donating to a charity - doesn't seem ethical!

I had the same problem. I eventually disputed it with my credit card and Cymax finally said they would credit my card back.

This took over 2 months to get resolved.

This has finally been resolved by Cymax after additional phone calls, continued delays and help from AMEX.

Needless to say, Cymax is a company you should think twice about before ending up with a potentially similar complaint.

Their employees have been cordial on the phone, that is the only good thing I can say about Cymax.

Chair NOT as pictured or described

Ordered wing back chair with matching ottoman, pictured & described as earth tones in leaf pattern, and I even called to confirm the colors before ordering - I was told it is beige & brown. Upon receipt, my husband surprised me by having it put together - shocked instead as the chair is beige & PURPLE & goes with nothing in home. So I called & spoke with a Carlly who said she would send me an "answerable" email so we could send info & pics -- 2 was later I haven't received anything--very poor customer service! After the purchase of a beautiful swivel rocker recliner which was promptly delivered, I discovered a defect in the mechanism. The recliner was promptly replaced. The replacement had the same issue. Cymax requested a video demonstrating the problem. After emailing the video, Cymax promptly refunded my total purchase back to my account and sent a letter of apology. Nicely handled. I have purchased from them in the past and will continue to be a Cymax customer in the future. This company is very responsive regarding customer service. Nothing negative to report here, other than the mechanical issue with the chair. The company is fine.

Don't do business with this outfit

Ordered two chairs 30 inches high Order came through as 1 24" and1 30" Tried to amend -could not Called kept on hold for 5+ min Told then that Cymac could not cancel order as I waited too long! Tried to talk to a supervisor Would not be connected Beware of doing business with this group! The sad story is that the chairs were perfect . All I requested is to amend order to two chairs the same size! They claimed they send order immediately out, but would not give me information so that I could try to amend order myself Again STAY AWAY from Cymax

Poor Customer Service, No items recieved

Placed an order with cymax, that was never recieved. They told me to check with neighbors and nver got back with me. Two weeks passed, called again they stated they would be emailing me. The email arrived only to ask me to check with neighbors again. I then asked for a refund supervisor stated that it would be processed. Only to call a week later and nothing has happened. Not even the start of a refund on my behalf. Their excuse for not contacting me was they are an online company. They dont make ant type of phone calles. This has been going on over a month with no progress
